Welcome! This location guide is for Kristina Rose Photography clients who need help choosing a location for their session. Locations are throughout Northeast Ohio and range from rolling fields to beaches.
Secrest Arboretum, Wooster Ohio
Located just outside downtown Wooster, Secrest Arboretum is full of well-maintained gardens, but also has many wild growing areas as well. This is one of my most family (and pet-friendly) locations. In the spring, there are beautiful cherry blossoms. Summer has amazing wildflower areas and grassy fields. Fall has breathtaking views of foliage.
Allardale Park, Medina Ohio
A beautiful park full of rolling hills, tall pines, and flowering meadows. Very family friendly with a park at the entrance. Fall has wonderful foliage color.
Portgage Lakes Park, Akron Ohio
Looking for something a little beachy without a lot of travel? This is it! The shallow shores are great for splashing with the kids or getting earthy maternity photos. This area does not have full view of the sunset.
Kingwood Gardens, Mansfield Ohio
Beautiful brick mansions, overflowing greenhouses, and manicured gardens make this place a timeless treasure. Spring has many tulip areas. Summer is full of greenery and blooms. The greenhouses are great for staying warm in the winter while still getting some green into your photos.
*There is an admission rate of $10/per adult and $5 per child.
Avian Acres, Ashland Ohio
A beautiful, rustic red barn with open wildflower fields make this a relaxed location. There is also a small pond and wonderful sunset views. Fall foliage is beautiful here.
Hubbard Valley Park, Seville Ohio
A wonderful Medina County park with a small creek, bridges, and a lake. There are great grassy field areas with sunset views.
Huntington Beach, Bay Village Ohio
While it’s a bit of a drive from Wooster, this beach has a full sunset view with sandy shores and bold rock bars. Family friendly if you can manage the very large flight of stairs down to the beach. Perfect for intimate maternity sessions or playful toddlers.
Edgewater Beach, Cleveland Ohio
Also a bit of a drive, but a wonderful beach with rocky and sandy shores. Great for families.

Headlands Beach, Mentor Ohio
This beach will make you feel like you’re in the Carolinas. Grassy dunes and sandy shores with tree debris make this beach feel wild. This is about 1.5 hrs from Wooster.

Petros Park, Canton Ohio
A beautiful lakeside park in Canton with winding trails and shaded areas. Family friendly!
Norma Johnson Center, New Philadelphia Ohio
Rolling hills with a historic barn and sunset views. Wildflower areas with grassy paths give an earthy feel to your session.
Yellow Shovel Floral, Burbank Ohio
A beautiful flower farm just north of Wooster that is great for senior sessions. They have an array of vibrant flowers. Not recommended for toddlers that will rip out flowers. *There is a $50/per hour fee.
Oenslager Nature Center, Wadsworth Ohio
A lovely park with walking trails through fields, past ponds, and in a wonderful tall pine forest. This would be a great area for a Christmas style session in the pines!
