P Family | Family Photos in Orrville, Ohio

The P family was willing and ready to dive in (pun intended) at their family photos in Orrville, Ohio. Let me start this off by saying how excited the kids AND DAD were to participate in their family photoshoot. This poolside session was exactly what their family needed- time to play and be in the moment.

Styling for the Pool

There are so many directions you could go with a creative session like this, but we chose some bright colors for mom and daughter with some more neutral tones for the guys. We decided to stay minimal on patterns to keep from clashing. And the retro style floaties were a fun added touch!

Staying in the Moment

It was really important to me to let the P family be comfortable interacting and playing in front of the camera. Since we worked together multiple times in the past, the kids already knew what to expect from me (playing)! Sometimes it can be more difficult for parents to loosen up. I encouraged them throughout the session by giving prompts for different activities to do with the kids or each other. This kept the family ‘in the moment’ throughout our time together.
