The G Family had quite a year! They moved from across the country to rural Ohio and just a week before having their baby, they got settled into a home. I was so excited to meet their newest addition, just over a week old, for their newborn photos in New Philadelphia, Ohio.
What are In Home newborn sessions?
In home newborn sessions are newborn photos taken at your home after baby’s arrival. There are a few reasons a mom might choose this option vs studio.
- You doesn’t have to leave the comfort of your home while recovering.
- Siblings don’t feel rushed around or stressed about a trip out of the house.
- Siblings have something to do while I’m working with baby.
- Families love the relaxed nature of doing newborn photos at home.

Styling In Home Newborn Photos
This part is seriously so much fun! When choosing clothing for your in home session, you have a variety of options. Since home is your cozy place, I like to recommend something casual or playful. You don’t want to be dressed in something that doesn’t reflect the space you’re in. Some families like to stay in more cozy clothing, and that looks beautiful as well! Some moms choose to wear a cozy outfit and then something more casual for printing for family.
