Fall is just beginning, but us photographers are gearing up for the Christmas season! If you’re looking for Christmas photos near Wooster, Ohio, then this is the right place. Welcome! Let’s get your holiday season off to a joyful start with family photos at a local tree farm. These sell out every year because they are family classic.

Skylar Brook Farm
I have been working with Dave and the team and Skylar Brook Farm for 3 years. They are so welcoming! Their tree farm expands over 35 acres full of evergreens and a couple furry friends. The surrounding view is rolling farm land. Skylar Brook Farm is located in Orrville, Ohio with close proximity to Hwy 30. If you’re looking for easy-access and family friendly Christmas photos near Wooster, Ohio, this lovely family-operated farm is the perfect place to be.
Styling Tips
Where do we start?! For some, picking outfits for the cards that get mailed to the whole family can seem… daunting! Let’s break this process down into a few simple steps.
- Pick a color palette – This is the place to start. Using your Kristina Rose Photography exclusive access to the Styled By Whitney Irene site, you’ll be able to scroll a variety of beautiful winter season color palettes.
- Mom first – Yes, Mom, you need to pick your outfit first. If you aren’t comfortable, then no one is happy. Find something that feels good and suits your style.
- Kids’ turn – This can be the fun part! Who doesn’t love getting cute new holiday outfits for the kids 🙂 I do have a few tips for the kids:
- Avoid puffy jackets or vests. Certain poses or activities may make a puffy top cover a child’s face.
- Do a try on. If your toddler or young child doesn’t like their outfit at home, they definitely won’t be happy with it during photos. I’ve tried this with my own kids… it doesn’t end well haha!
- Layers can be cute! A knit beanie, stockings, or a chunky cardigan can keep your littles warm, comfy, and cute 🙂
- Dad (the easy part). Jeans and a waffle henley or flannel are the common go-to. I recommend flannels that don’t have overly distracting patterns.
