I was so excited to welcome my sweet friend into my Wooster studio for maternity photos! She is so easy to photograph and brought along her husband and little boy to incorporate the whole family. We captured some sweet moments during this maternity session!

Preparing for Baby #2

Catherine and her husband have a 1 year old little boy who will make the best big brother. He was giving mom’s belly lots of cuddles and I’m sure he will do the same for baby #2! I think all moms are nervous about the transition of 1 child to two, but I promise your heart will grow beyond measure to welcome this sweet life into your world. Moms never run out of love!

Styling a Wooster Family’s Maternity Photos

I love that my local Wooster families are so enjoyable to style. We started with finding ideas that mom knew she wanted. We decided on two dresses of her favorite color that would also define her bump well. For (soon to be) big brother, we landed on adorable striped overalls from Kohls. My Wooster families know that dads are usually stuck in their ways (which I can work with!) and we settled on a casual flannel for this Dad. Maternity photos can be so stressful for moms to decide what to wear. I stock my client wardrobe with items that are bump friendly and figure flattering so you don’t have to worry about spending more money on a one time dress.

When to Book a Maternity Photo Session

Women usually feel most comfortable around 28 to 32 weeks (aka “the honeymoon phase” of pregnancy). Your bump is well established, and you haven’t hit the “I’m over this” mark yet. My families usually wait until the 12 week viability ultrasound before officially getting on the books for a maternity session.
