Summer Family Photos in Medina Ohio

Let’s capture timeless, summer family photos in Medina, Ohio with your loved ones. Between the rolling hills and beautiful meadows, there are so many gorgeous locations to explore!

Why Medina County?

Medina Ohio has beautiful landscapes that offer unique and easily accessible spaces for family photos. Each season takes on a new look to add variety to the portraits you hang on the wall.

In the spring, many parks have flowering trees and even early blooms like tulips and daffodils. The summer season offers tall grasses (hello texture!), lush green grass, shady trees, warm creeks, and golden sunsets. Fall can be absolutely breathtaking. Trees will turn to shades of orange, red, yellow, and even a sprinkle of rich purple. Goldenrod and other fall blooming flowers will add the perfect pop of color to your pictures. And lastly, my least favorite, winter. If you catch a day of light snow, you’ll have the perfect winter wonderland for Christmas photos!

Choosing Your Location

The options for family photo locations in Medina Ohio is nearly endless, but let’s break down what might be best for you.

If it’s just you and your partner, you could consider venturing to a place that has a bit more of a hike to escape the golden hour crowds. When kids are in tow, you might want to limit the walking distance. If you are looking for manicured blooms, a local park might be your best bet. Maybe you want a space that feels a little more open and wild? Consider a reserve or park.

Tip: While this doesn’t apply to my list below, always in advance if your location requires a permit for photography. Many metroparks require a reservation and permit. Don’t ruin your family photoshoot by forgetting this!
