There is something so special about photographing a family right before they grow by one more. Add golden hour, wildflowers, and a toddler running around, and you have the kind of maternity session I absolutely love.
As a Wooster maternity photographer, I love when a session doesn’t feel overly posed. Instead of spending the whole time asking everyone to look at the camera, I want families to interact, play, snuggle, and just be themselves. Those are the moments that end up meaning the most.
And Megan’s daughter definitely kept things fun! Three-year-olds have their own plans for family photos, and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. There were little moments of running through the wildflowers, cuddling up with Mom and Dad, and plenty of the sweet, unpredictable energy that comes with this age.
Pregnancy can be such a strange season. You’re excited, probably a little tired, and trying to imagine what life will look like with another little person in the family. There is so much anticipation packed into those few months. A maternity session is a chance to pause for a minute and remember what your family looked like right before everything changed.
I’m so glad I got to capture that for Megan and her family.
If you’re looking for a Wooster maternity photographer, I want your session to feel like you—not a series of stiff poses or perfectly planned moments. We’ll let your kids be kids, we’ll chase the good light, and we’ll capture the little interactions that happen naturally along the way.
Because someday, you’ll look back at these photos and remember not just what you looked like while you were pregnant, but what it felt like to be a family of three, waiting to meet the little person who would make you a family of four. And that’s the good stuff. ❤️
